The Black Forest offers innumerable possibilities... below you find an excerpt of 6 family and leisure parks:

• 10 minutes (8km)

The family-friendly Black Forest Park for adults and children with whitewater course, flying boat, summer toboggan and bobsleigh run as well as a leisurely raft ride. There are also many smaller play opportunities. Next to the restaurant, there are 4 barbecue areas at your disposal

• 40 minutes (37km)

The small and cozy amusement called 'Hardt' in the village of Hardt near Schramberg offers miniature golf, pit-pat, miniature railroad, large model railroad, animal exhibition and various attractions

• 50 minutes (50km)

The Steinwasen Park with the longest adventure rope bridge in the world (218m), summer toboggan run, river-splash white-water ride, roller coaster "Gletscherblitz", spacerunner and other adventure rides, cinema and large children's playground

• 80 minutes (90km)

'Europapark Rust' which is Germany's largest theme park with over 100 attractions

• 80 minutes (90km)

The family park 'Funny World', located very close to the 'Europapark Rust'; especially suitable for families with children up to 12 years

• 100 minutes (135km)

The Seewald leisure park in the village Enzklösterle in the northern part of the Black Forest. The main attraction of this small amusement park is the 900 meter long giant slide. Further offers: Children's mountain railroad, bumper cars, chain carousel, trampoline, rodeo riding, water pumping train, pirate boat...and of course a refreshment station.

From an easy walk around the Kirnbergsee or along the nature trail through the Gauchach gorge, hikes of 2 to 120 hours are possible in and around the Wutach gorge. Also the highest waterfalls in Germany, the Triberg Waterfalls, which extend in 7 cascades over a total of 163 meters of altitude difference, are ideal for a walk and can be reached in just under an hour by car. Or go for a stroll in Bräunlingen, Hüfingen, Villingen-Schwenningen or Donaueschingen...

The varied terrain of the southern Black Forest is also ideal for smaller or larger bicycle tours.

How about fishing in front of the house in the Kirnbergsee or in the nearby Kofenweiher?  

Did you know that the Kirnbergsee is the warmest bathing lake in the southern Black Forest? But also the Titisee or the Schluchsee invite intrepid people to go swimming or surfing.

The nearest golf course is located on the edge of Donaueschingen and can be reached by car in 20 minutes.

You will also find the possibility to play tennis as well as horseback riding or a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride in the surrounding area; bowling and skittle alleys are also numerous.

Visit the Fürstenberg brewery in Donaueschingen and book a brewing course.

How about a historical train ride on the Sauschwänzlebahn? Or visit one of the largest indoor karting tracks in southern Germany in Rottweil, which can be reached in about 40 minutes by car - if you want to get more adrenalin flowing, drive to the Hockenheimring in 2 1/2 hours!

A visit to the indoor swimming pool in Hüfingen or the wellness and health center Solemar after all the sports activities?
